VIKA Maryland, LLC is a leading Civil Engineering, Planning, Survey, and Landscape Architecture firm in the DC metro area. We are currently seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join our Germantown or Beltsville, Maryland team. Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following technical and practical abilities to effectively thrive in this position:

• Professional Land Surveyor License (LS) or Land Surveyor In-Training License (LST)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Experienced with Civil 3D, Auto-Cad
• Proficient in land development surveys and construction stakeout
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and driven to succeed
• Ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary, team-oriented environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
  

Responsibilities

This position will require carrying out the following assignments and roles:

• Perform detailed research and review of boundaries, plats, deeds, easements, and title at local, county, and state levels
• Work with title and utility companies, as well as local governments, to assist with approval of projects
• Prepare documentation of fieldwork
• Coordinate client and contractor requests for land surveys and construction stakeouts
• Perform calculations of horizontal and vertical control
